From my heart to yours
Each song on "I See the World in Worship" is special to me.  Several songs were written by personal friends of mine who are the kind of people Jesus talked about when He said, "If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you." (John 15:7) These songs were written from the hearts of those who abide in Him and are full of His Word.  When you sing them, make sure you are, too.

Pastors often ask us to minister to their worship teams, to offer insight from our many years of experience.  Here's what I'll offer you in a nutshell.  Before you attempt to "memorize" or "learn" any song, read the lyrics without any music.  Make sure it makes sense to you and think about how you would tell the message of that song to someone without singing it.  Pay attention to who the song is talking to.  If it's to God, an actual worship song ("More than Words", for example), then talk to Him, not just at Him.  Ministering is about communication.  If you can do that, the song will come from your heart, as if you wrote it, and not just your memory, a copy of someone else.  If the song is to other people ("My Inheritance" for example), open your eyes and look at them, then Preach It!
